Héritage Sutton has published its 39th history booklet. This issue offers a ‘walk’ through the village core, showing how it was rebuilt after the great fire of April 1898. It tells the story of the pioneer Shepard family, and that of the Godue family, who were at the heart of Sutton’s development. Also on the menu is a visit to the mill operated by the late Willie Waterhouse.
