A 10-week contract is offered for the collection, sorting and classification of documentary and visual archives for the Héritage Sutton historical society whose mission is to preserve the history of Sutton and the people who wrote it.
The workplace is in our office located at the town hall of Sutton with the possibility of carrying out part of the task by telework.
A good knowledge of French and English is required as well as a good knowledge of basic computer tools.
- Indexing of documents to be archived and their integration into Heritage Sutton’s computer databases (Photo Gallery, (Bibliotek); in particular, the associate will have to ensure that all the information relating to the origin of the document and the context of conservation have been collected; he/she must also describe the documents: scope and content, keywords, etc.
- Scanning of documents and transfer of documents into various formats (eg hard drive with USB stick or audio cassettes to DVD);
The contract is for a minimum of 300 hours at an hourly rate to be discussed.
